Overview
We are partnering with a fast-growing chemical manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Mechanical Head who will lead plant reliability, maintenance excellence, and mechanical integrity initiatives. This leadership role is critical to ensuring operational continuity, equipment reliability, and sustainable plant performance.
The successful candidate will drive maintenance strategies, improve equipment availability, support expansion projects, and lead a high-performing maintenance team while ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs.
- Improve plant uptime, reliability, and equipment performance.
- Establish systems for equipment health monitoring and lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory inspections.
- Lead mechanical execution of expansion and modernization projects.
- Manage shutdown planning and maintenance optimization activities.
- Develop and mentor maintenance teams to enhance operational discipline.
- Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR across critical plant assets.
- Strengthen condition monitoring and predictive maintenance systems.
- Optimize maintenance costs through planning and spare management.
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, EHS, and projects teams.
What We're Looking For
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15–20 years of experience in chemical or process industries.
- Strong maintenance experience in critical plant equipment.
- Expertise in reliability engineering and maintenance systems.
- Experience managing large maintenance and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of plant safety and compliance standards.
- Exposure to expansion projects and shutdown planning.
- Proven ability to improve plant uptime and equipment reliability.
